Band has been without a vocalist since March 2024; Rob Hammersmith updates fans on the casting process
Since March 2024, the Skid Row is without an official vocalist after the departure of Erik Grönwallwho left the band to focus on his health. During this period, Lzzy Halevocalist and guitarist of Halestorm, temporarily took over the role for some performances, but was not hired as a member of the legendary Hard Rock band.

In an interview with the channel The Metal Summitat the end of 2024, the drummer Rob Hammersmith updated fans on the progress of the search for a new vocalist.
“We’re still in an active search for Skid Row’s next lead singer. We’ve had some very good, very strong candidates. As of yet, there’s no news, no official announcements. Like I said, we’re still in the middle of a proper search, if you will. , but we are making progress”, revealed Hammersmith.
The drummer also made a direct invitation to potential candidates: “Singers, if you think you’re right, you know where to find us, that’s for sure (…). It’s a long process and it always takes longer than we’d like, but hopefully by early 2025 we’ll have some big announcements for everyone.”
Erik Grönwall integrated the Skid Row between 2022 and 2024. During this period, he recorded the album The Gang’s All Here and live Live in London.
