The Decris Trio is proud of the unusual dynamic in the country scene: “It’s created a really interesting difference”

In an interview with Contigo!, the Decris trio, made up of brothers Robson, Cristiano and Wagner, tells in detail the origins of the group and reveals what it means to work as a family

The trio Decris – formed by the brothers of Paraná Robinson, Christian AND Wagner – captured the public’s attention with his compositions and charisma. The musicians conquered the country with an unusual dynamic in the country scene: three voices to guide their successes. In an interview with With you!they detail the group’s origins, reveal what it’s like to work as a family and reflect on the learning journey between siblings.

“This lineup started with me. They were a country duo. As soon as I joined, we formed this trio. So, there was Robson and Wagner and I made some appearances on their shows. The contractor said, ‘We need to bring more than the older brother who is new to attending your shows, which is nice’ So, I started attending these, the contractor asked me and then we formed”explains Cristiano. “I ended up ruining the duo, didn’t I, Robson? (laughs)”he then jokes.

“I don’t think you ruined it, no, it just helped. I think that created a really interesting difference for us, because when we stopped being a country duo, we had to add a third voice. And that brought a ‘huge difference to the arrangements we do. So, we sing with three voices, we learned to harmonize these three voices; it went from being a first and a second voice to all three being another musical experience for us to stand out in a way very different”Robson emphasizes.

Cristiano edits: “Decris is because of Cris, it was this joke that now they are no longer Robson and Wagner, now they are Cris’s brothers, so it’s Decris. It’s a name that has a lot to do with us, it doesn’t mean something like that didactically, but it is a name that represents us.”

Wagner remembers a very funny situation. “In fact, when we were with a contractor and he was about to rehire the duo for the show, he said, ‘But are you going to bring the kid in?’ Cris was very small, he was 7 or 8 years old. He sang a song or two and went to sleep in the car. We needed the judge’s permission, because they are all very small, and my father always accompanied him, so the contractor has it done. I wanted to sum it up, but bring me the little boy, because the little boy is having more success than you (laughs) So, if Cris joined, the formation of the trio is in his honor, it’s called Decris.” , speaks.

“I think we have had the great privilege of living together as a family. Our profession has given us the opportunity to always be together, so it is very pleasant. As Wagner himself said, there are professional challenges, which is the moment in our heads boil, our blood boils in logistics, in career choices, but this is inherent, it is normal in any profession. But I think that being brothers helps us a lot, and allows us, I believe, to always improve very very closely When we need each other, there is always someone who supports us. I think it’s important to be brothers, in music, because our vocal timbres are very similar, so when it comes to harmonizing our voices, it creates something really beautiful because they are similar.”Robson emphasizes.

When asked what they have learned together during their career, Robson points out: “I think it was as Wagner said. Over the years we learn to respect ourselves and above all to understand that certain things cannot be resolved at that moment. You have to wait, maybe the waters will calm down, your head will settle down, we will he’ll think for a while, so we can continue. We’ve learned to have respect for each other, working together and really recognizing the importance of blood in our careers, because that makes us feel better and better.”
