The event will feature 15 key attractions and seek to raise funds for the region’s more than 90,000 homeless people
Artists confirmed in the line-up
The benefit concert, scheduled for Los Angeles in two weeks, will feature performances by the likes of Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green Day, Jelly Roll and Gracie Abrams. According to the TMZ portal, the list of artists interested in participating exceeds 50, but the event will only include around fifteen performances.
Organizers hope the show will raise a significant amount to help victims of the fires that have devastated the city and are already considered the worst in Los Angeles’ history.
Impact of fires
More than 90,000 people were left homeless after the disasters, which also caused the destruction of homes, businesses and local infrastructure. Foreign personalities such as Anitta, Gisele Bündchen and Prince Harry also mobilized to collect donations and provide assistance to the victims.
The show adds to a series of celebrity initiatives to alleviate the damage caused by the fires, reinforcing the global call for solidarity in the midst of the tragedy.
