The subject was discussed on your company’s Instagram profile, Good Dye Young. Williams explained how she was diagnosed with depression and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and how this affected her view of the topic.
She stated:
In 2018, after years of struggling with my mind and some health issues, I was finally diagnosed with depression and a specific type of PTSD. I admit to being very ignorant about mental health and how much it can consume you. I didn’t realize that this could also affect your physical well-being. I was told before by my doctor that I had chronic fatigue, but I didn’t understand how connected my body and mind were.”
Professional help made all the difference to Hayley. The artist then felt sorry for people who do not have access to these services.
If I hadn’t had access to mental health professionals and doctors, I may have never learned these things and would have remained on my own without answers. I hate to think how many people are stuck with no answers or any tangible help.”

Immediate relief in addition to professional help
Hayley Williams took the opportunity to mention small attitudes that tend to bring relief to bad times more immediately. However, the artist once again highlighted the importance of professional assistance.
Obviously there are little things we can do in everyday life to lift our spirits or give us space to really express how we feel and who we are. Small victories help. I’ve always turned to music, dying/changing my hair, some kind of community… but sometimes you need more support than those things can give.”
