Gracie Abrams criticized a petition created by the fan to replace Dora Jar as an act of opening of their next tour in the United Kingdom and Europe. The singer ranked the situation as a “ridiculous” and confirmed his support to the colleague’s artist.
Last Friday (24), Dora Jar announced that he would open the Abrams’ tour shows, which will pass through cities such as Nottingham, Leeds, London, Manchester, Cardiff, Dublin and Glasgow between February and March. A few hours after the announcement, some fans of Abrams expressed dissatisfaction and started a campaign Change.org For Dora be replaced by an “better known and energetic” artist.
Saturday (25), Dora replied to the situation, saying: “Hate is part of the work. The truth is that this has been the greatest love show I’ve ever received from a base of fans who is still knowing me. Gracie has carefree fans and I am very enthusiastic this tour.”
Gracie Abrams also commented on the case in an Instagram post of Stereogum: “I just learned to this absurd situation … it’s so incredibly insignificant and bizarre.
