Free event takes place in Brasilia between February 10 and 15 and brings together artists from the outskirts of all corners of Brazil
The largest peripheral culture festival in Brazil, Favela Soundsbegins 2025 with a special edition of Carnival between February 10 and 15.
Maintaining tradition, the event brings a totally free program and brings together artists from the peripheries of all corners of Brazil – and also from abroad.
Flourish, Budah, The Kannalha, DJ Caio Prince, KEM KEM, Jamz supernova, DUST, Mac Julia, Rayssa Dias, Afreekassia, Flow – Umiranda + DJ Nyack, Trilogy of Santo Amaro – DJ EVA + DJ FERNANDINHINHO B20 + Léodj Bigmix, LAADY B, David Sampler Feat. Tub, Dj j4k3 and DJ Beatmilla integrate the programming ofThe ballthat rolls on February 15th.
In this special edition of Carnival, which came to surprise its faithful audience, The ball It will be in the external garden of CCBB (Banco do Brasil Cultural Center) Brasilia, in a space for 7,000 people. Ticket withdrawal takes place on the CCBB website from 07/02.
The 16 artists of this lineup ride the main sounds produced in ghettos, such as Rap, Trap, Bahian Pagan, Tecnobrega, Brega Funk, Funk and Nigerian Afrobeat.

DF’s peripheral youth will be able to count on the free bus service to come and go from different administrative regions. In this edition, the festival doubled the amount for 20 buses. Two of these vehicles will make an uninterrupted route between the Plano Piloto bus station and the CCBB, from the beginning to the end of the event, also contributing to the mobility of the public that will come by bus or subway, from any region of Brasilia.
The other buses come and go from the most requested addresses by the event public and require prior registration for access.

Activity Marathon
From February 10 to 14, there is also a marathon of activities in other administrative regions of the Federal District, such as: Taguatinga, Ceilândia, Paranoá and Recanto das Emas.
The educational program includes three debates in public education institutions, two creative workshops taught in units of the local socio -educational system, in addition to the Afrobeat Laba laboratory for DJs and music producers held in partnership with British Council and with the participation of DJ KEM KEMborn in Lagos (Nigeria) and based in London.

The dear Favela Talksconference created to strengthen artists and creative businesses from the outskirts of the Federal District, will take place in Taguatinga, with the sponsorship of Claro. Themes such as “technologies for the future of the peripheries”, “algorithmic racism” and “environment” will be on the agenda, alongside practical workshops, business rounds and mentoring, with creative market experts.
To close with a golden key, the Favela Talks will also have three great shows: Chico César at Sesi Yara Amaral (Taguatinga), Mc Luanna in the Conic Birosca (Pilot Plan) and Ebony in the Citizen Square (Ceilândia).
This special edition of Carnival – Favela Sounds At CCBB Brasília – is carried out with funds from the Culture Support Fund and the Culture Incentive Law of the Federal District. Held by Produz + and the agency a name, the event is presented by Banco do Brasil, with Master sponsorship of the Banco do Brasil Cultural Center, sponsorship of Claro and support from the British Council and the Soma Cidadania Cidadania Institute.
The curated and different from the Favela Sounds – In addition to social activities (such as providing free buses from the peripheral regions of Brasilia for the festival, broken workshops and the Creative Conference Favela Talks) – They consolidated the event as the large national showcase for peripheral culture.
