The singer and actor Abel Tesfaye, better known as weekend, revealed the first trailer for his new psychological suspense, “hurry up tomorrow”. The video brings the artist next to Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan.

The official synopsis describes the plot as the journey of a musician (Tesfaye) tormented by insomnia, who ends up embarking on an odyssey next to a stranger (Ortega), leading him to question his existence.

The function is considered an extension of the album “Hurry Up Tomorrow”, published by The Weeknd on January 31st. The album ends the trilogy started with “After Hours” (2020) and “Dawn FM” (2022). In a criticism of four stars, the NME magazine stressed that the work acts as a “swan song” for the singer’s alter ego.

Abel Tesfaye, or The Weeknd, is an artist who has a wandering career, but always worthy of note. His latest work in the universe of the series or films was HBO “The Idol”, considered today one of the worst series of the history of the platform, but not although Tesfaye is late and surprised the United States year after year, with attempts outside the house.

If “hurry up tomorrow”, the film, will be a dignified song for Tesfaye’s alter ego, we don’t know. We can only wait for your debut in May.
