“I consider the Eastern Divan orchestra -oriental my most important responsibility. It is essential for me to guarantee long -term stability and the development of the orchestra,” says the conductor.

The musician also states that from now on he assumes the work of ensuring that the orchestra is conducted by “excellent conductors”.

Born in Buenos Aires and considered one of the greatest living directors, Barenboim was also musical director of the Paris Orchestra, between 1975 and 1989, and was head of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, from 1991 to 2006.
