Pernambuco singer and songwriter plunges into reggae with single anticipated album scheduled for the second semester

2025 will be a remarkable year for Pernambuco singer and songwriter Rob Love. Since the debut of his solo career with the namesake album Rob Love (2021), the artist has explored the passion for reggae in a combination with influences of dub, soul, pop and electronics.

Now, she presents herself “No more”first single from a solar and visceral project, which will culminate in a new album scheduled for the second half.

The release of the single on Thursday also represents a tribute to the greater influence of Rob in music: Bob Marleywhich would turn 80 this February 6th. The artist was also honored on the album Tribute Rob Canta Bob, 2023.

This song talks about a moment of encounter and connection with our inner strength. When we expand and recognize our power, it is a path without return. It is about leaving behind what no longer fits us, integrating the parts of who we really are and flowing into our waters until it flows into the whole. ‘No more’ marks the beginning of this connection, the conscience of the thread that connects all things, an invitation to recognize ourselves as part of something larger, ”comments Rob.

Using her most intuitive side, she plays with experimentation and evokes spirituality to talk about love, freedom, union and a dose of psychedelia as a form of expansion and connection with the universe.

As a consequence of these creative movements, the artist moves between Portuguese and English in an unpretentious mixture, which is already her trademark.

Produced by Kassin (who has worked with Gal Costa, Caetano Veloso, Erasmo Carlos, Vanessa da Mataamong others) and Mario Caldato Jr. (which collaborated with artists like BEASTIE BOYS, Jack Johnson, Marcelo D2 and Seu Jorge), the music brings the reggae footprint of the 1980s.

This brought to the recording a special flavor: the battery was microphone nearby, we use rototons in the turns, timbales and synthesizers instead of pianos, ”he explains Kassinwhich had musicians as Rodrigo Tavares on keyboards and Thiaguinho Silva on the battery.

Mastering was in charge of Felipe Tichauerwhile the mix was performed by Mario CaldatoJr. The launch as a whole marks the new partnership of Rob Love with yes productions, under the management of Tânia Arturwhich also business Jonathan Ferr and the duo Yoún.

The artist adds her many musical references to strong compositions, creating an engaging sound, without labels, that does not let the body stand still.

As Syrup defined: “Rob Love It brings a new, natural and free vibration that connects various musical worlds while taking you on a single journey. The whole pack of “No more” It unfolds still in two audiovisual records, a make of and a visualizer, created as part of a visual narrative that will connect the releases to the full album.
