Eduardo PaesMayor of Rio de Janeiro, confirmed a free show of Lady Gaga At Copacabana Beach, to May 3, after rumors circulated on the internet. The information was shared during its participation in the podcast Podk released.
The presentation takes place a year after Madonna on Rio soil, which was remembered by the politician in his response to criticism of the action (via The globe).
He stated:
“Will you spend public money on Lady Gaga? I go. With the Madonna I spent too. Do you know why? Because it fills all the hotels, it fills all the restaurants. ”
Responsible for completing the 40 -year career tour of the Pop Queen, the 2024 event boosted the local economy. According to the Rio de Janeiro State Secretariat of Tourism (Setur-RJ), of the 1.6 million fans present, 150,000 were tourists-which raised the hotel occupation to 96% and generated about R $ 300 million for the state economy.
Lady Gaga in Copacabana
Officially, the city hall will announce the Lady Gaga show on February 20. Santander sponsors this and other free performances on the beach – part of the initiative Everyone in Riodeveloping in the next four years.
The performance should start at 21h (Brasília time) and extend until 23h30.
