Musiciam Gallagher connects “sincere” mode by reacting Oasis’s nomination for rock hall

English band again running a place in the American institution; Singer manifested himself through social networks in two curious messages

THE Oasis received another chance to enter the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The English band is among the nominees to one of the vacancies – between six and eight – offered by the institution in the so -called “2025 class”.

But – and as it was expected -, he was not charmed by the possibility. In publication in X/Twitterthe singer of the group reverberated the news linking the “sincere” mode. First, he said:

“The rock and roll hall of fame is for assholes.”

Usually the singer interacts with fans on the social network. It was no different this time: he took the opportunity to answer a fan who asked what his stance would be if he joined the so -called “Rock and Roll fame hall”. Again in a mocking way – or not – he said:

“Obviously I will and say it’s the best thing in the world.”

In 2024, the year that Oasis first played a place at Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Liam had a similar reaction. Also in X/Twitter (via Igor Miranda website), Frontman stated that he had no interest in receiving a “M#rda prize given by an old man wearing cowboy hat”. Then he posted:

“F#If Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is full of suckers.”

You can only apply for a place at Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Artists and bands who released their first recording (album, EP, Single) at least 25 years before that edition. In other words, in this case, debut materials need to have come out up to 2000.

Although Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is in Cleveland, the 2025 ceremony will take place in Los Angeles, also in the United States. It will be in the fall of the northern hemisphere, on a date to be revealed.

At the 2024 event, they were honored Ozzy Osbourne (which was already part of the institution as a member of the Black Sabbath), Dave Matthews Band, Cher, The Called Quest Tribe, Mary J. Blige, Peter Frampton, Foreigner and Kool & The Gang. The choice of artists occurs after a vote between about 1,200 authorities on the subject, such as musicians and other industry professionals. A popular vote is performed, but corresponds to only one of the many votes.

Highlights among the nominees of 2025

Some names remembered in 2025 catch the public’s attention. THE OasisIn particular, it has greatly moved the global news since its return to a worldwide tour, to start in the coming months.

THE Mannain turn, it enters history as the first artist or band with a repertoire primarily or exclusively in Spanish to be nominated. Already Billy Idol ended up, curiously, after Ozzy Osbourne Having said in 2024 that he should already be at Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

There are other names that are surprised by the absence in the institution after so long. THE Bad Companyfor example, it was one of the most popular rock bands in the 1970s, but did not get its space, as well as Joy Division and New Order – Two legendary alternative rock names that were nominated together because one was born from the ashes of the other. SoundgardenGrunge icon of the 1990s, is another example of a band that is still out, although contemporaries like Nirvana and Pearl Jam have already entered.
