Caetano Veloso AND Ritchie judged the music Shy moon1984. With the launch of Friday 14, the work is available on digital platforms and also on YouTube, together with the clip that shows the backstage.

In diffusion, Ritchie’s staff told about the first meeting of the duo that led to the song. He met Caetano in the locker room of the show PileIn San Paolo.
“It was 1984 and I was happy with that song that he sang in English in that performance. After the show, I went to the locker room to introduce myself and say how much I had loved that mysterious music of the moon. Ritchie says that Caetano was in doubt about the texts, being in English. “For my ears, however, the song had perfectly made sense. He had played as a kind of luminata song and at the same time a pagan invocation on the moon, almost a sacred.”
On the 40th anniversary of the song, Ritchie invited Caetano to rewrite it, he says. “For my huge honor and happiness, he accepted in the act. I am again in the sky with the musical result of our meeting. Thanks, Maestro!”
