Musician makes available this Friday, the album The Best of, bringing together highlights of his trajectory outside the band that consecrated him
The musician Sérgio Britto launched this Friday, 21, his first solo collection, The best ofby the Midas Music label. The album compiles the best of the five solo albums of the member of Titans and is available on digital platforms (orcd.co/thebestoofsergiobritto) and vinyl.
In addition to signing vocals, piano, keyboards and guitar, Britto was in charge of the graphic project. In press material, he explained that he sought inspiration on the album covers of Bossa Nova and Jazz, especially on the Blue Note records and the work of César Villelain the cast.
The best ofbrings photography of Pedro Dimitrov and design of Marina Yoshiin addition to Sérgio Fouad, Emerson Villani and Guilherme gene in production and arrangements. The registration also brings special appearances, such as ROBERTO MENESCAL and Wanda Sá in “Where?” and Margareth Menezes in “The Time of the Words”. “Song of exile”adapted from the poem of GONÇALVES DIASwins a rhythm version of Bossa Nova.
The album reinforces the solo identity of Brittowhich moves between bossa nova, pop and MPB. He comments:
“For this selection, besides choosing the best songs, I also considered the sound that most represented my search for its own identity – this fusion between MPB, bossa nova, and pop music. This is a path that I have been walking from the beginning from the beginning. From my solo trajectory and, for this album, I wanted to reinforce this essence. Some tracks hang more for pop, others have a bossa nova footprint, but all carry an explicit Brazilian typical aesthetics of this genre. “
Among the songs of the collection are “Purabossanova”with Rita Lee; Marcela Mangabeira in “Sun and Clean Water”; and “Here in this place”which counts on Black Li. The disc also presents other partnerships, such as “As equals”next to Luís Melodiaand “Completely sad”divided with Alaíde Costa. The new work brings more personal and introspective letters, evidenced in songs such as “Ah Muleke! (José) ” and “Julia”dedicated to the children of the artist.

Sérgio Britto has 42 years of career and is the author of great successes of Brazilian music, as “Epitaph”, “While there is sun”, “GO BACK”, “Food”, “Flowers”, “Marvin”, “Primate Man”, “Because I know it’s love” and “Fun”. With this release, the singer continues his solo career:
“I hope people will realize, in this work, the development of their own language and identity, besides the universe of Titans. I believe this album has the potential to reach a broad audience, pleasing so much to fans of Titans As for MPB lovers. I am building a new audience, which is not exactly the same as the titans, nor an audience exclusively aimed at MPB. Gradually, I’m finding this audience and this identity. ”
