With this second track, musicians anticipate their next studio album, Black Light / White Noise, scheduled for April 4
The duo of guitarists Smith/Kotzenformed by Adrian Smith (RonMaiden) and Richie Kotzen (The Winery Dogs, ex-Mr. Bigex-Poison), launched, last Thursday, 20, “Black Light”new single from your next album Black Light / White Noise.
The track arrives accompanied by a music video, produced and directed by Kevin and Richard Ragsdaleknown as Ragsdale Brothers. Audiovisual production brings the pair alongside the bassist Julia Lage and the drummer Bruno Valverdein addition to GYULNARA KARAEVARussian acrobat and former performer of Cirque du Soleil.
The music, which almost did not enter the album, deals with mistake and disappointment. Black light is a metaphor that reveals the hidden truth under the surface.
Recorded at The House in Los Angeles, California, and produced by guitarists, the album Black Light / White Noise brings mixing Jay Ruston. Expected to be launched on April 4, the second record of the partnership has ten tracks. Adrian Smith comments:
“We had a lot of fun doing this. We were composing, and I wanted something inspired by my classic hard rock or blues bands, and then it evolved to something more progressive. Richie It brings strong influences from soul, which adds many layers. ”
Regarding the sound of the work, Richie Kotzen adds:
“Smith/Kotzen It is about finding a common ground. Perhaps Adrian Tent to go to the heaviest side, and I lean more to Fusion, Funk or Soul, but our sound is at some point in the middle: that heavy rock blues vibe we really connected. ”
