Music Rock Band that became a joke on the Oscar 2025

Conan O’Brien, scheduled to present the event, dedicated his introduction to a sequence of games with movies and actors indicated

The 97th ceremony of Oscarheld last Sunday, 2, in Los Angeles, had a humorous opening made by Conan O’Brien. The presenter, who led the event, devoted part of the time to jokes with several nominated films and actors.

At one point, Guy Pearce became a target. And O’Brien’s joke also involved a rock band: the Guns n ‘Roses.

Conan initially cited a restriction imposed by Academy of Arts and Cinematographic Sciences: The speeches of the champions of each category should not exceed 45 seconds. Otherwise, the production of the event would shoot music as a way to “expel” the winners who speak for the elbows.

Then the presenter stated that if audio playback did not work, he would adopt a different strategy. He said:

“If you still don’t get off the stage, I will make it difficult. I will show your old face photos. ”

As an example, O’Brien rescued an old portrait of Pearce, who played the Oscar for best supporting actor for his work with The brutalist. Probably taken in the 1980s, the photo showed the artist with longer, mullet -style hair. The presenter then made an association with the look of Axl Rose, Slash and company.

“I’m talking about you, Guy Pearce. Here you are. I loved you at Guns N ‘Roses, it was amazing. ”
