How is it working on the release of Things to Live, your sixth studio album?
I am very excited and happy! The album was as I imagined when I invented the songs. It is an album with deeper songs, a more introspective album, I think it will have an immediate connection with my audience.
The album was totally made by you, independently. How was this process?
I am an artist independent since 2021, I was 11 years old in a small label, which at that time were my albums and all the phonographic and diffusion work. Being an independent artist is very different, you have to think of everything: registration, production, mixing, mastery, media and marketing, visual language and all the details, which are many, which make you launch and reach your work. In 2008 I made a record in my house, I believe that even today, the bravest in my life. I did everything myself. Alone. I recorded, product, mixed, master, I made an insert (I also bought the guillotine to cut the leaves). It was an artisan and lonely process. I learned a lot there. Today I have Marina by my side, it is my entrepreneur since 2019. We are married, in addition to this beautiful and extraordinary partnership of Love, we also have an extraordinary collaboration in the management of my career. Does an impeccable job. Today I see that this process is more attentive and aligned every day. I missed the work in this way, organized, scrolling and in my hands. Knowing everything that happens and having total autonomy to work is wonderful and what I have looked for a lot.
In addition, this project is focused on people. How was it to work with this musical rhythm?
People are a very strong line in my work. I also consider myself a folk artist. My music is MPB, it’s pop, it’s jazz, it’s blues, but your foundation is folk. Making this album was wonderful, I gave the songs what they asked me. More people were born, they had agreements that adapted to them.
What can fans expect from the tour of this album?
I will play songs from the new album and also those songs that if not singing, [risos]. From January to January, my happiness are at peace … I played again in this show of previous album songs, such as Rio without water and smoking Signal. There is also rereading that I cannot help playing the shows, as who knows this means love (Lô Borges AND Marcio Borges), White House (Gilson AND Joran) And much more. I tried this show inside Rio de Janeiro, in Casimiro de Abreu and it was too much. It is pulsating, with a lot of energy.
Share a lot of your work, readings and important moments on Instagram. What is your relationship with social networks?
I’ve never been much to expose my intimacy on the networks and I like to spread my job, my books, guitars, my travels, my films and something that I find interesting to share more. I like to talk to the fans, every time I give me on the nets to answer them and have this feedback from songs and shows. I also have the Roberta Campos Club, which is a group in which people gather to speak, exchange information on my work, news. It is a chat on the WhatsApp platform. Sometimes I also come to talk to fans. It is very interesting, because they are creating a mutual affinity, many are already friends, they go together with the shows. In addition, those who are part of the club have a discount on tickets, access to the locker room, access to the recordings of the TV program, the discount on the shower, have first -hand information, such as versions and shows, tributes, press sometimes we draw there and so on. There are many advantages. The best thing is the friendship that members create with each other.
