MusicUblime delivers everything to a show in SP, but in a chaotic way led by Jakob Nowell, son of the original singer, the Californians brought hits and showed that they did very well to return to the active writing

As part of the tour The Offspring: Supercharged Worldwide in ’25which also had Rise Against, The Damned, Amyl & The Sniffers, The Warning it is clear) The offspring, Sublime performed in just over 1:30 am on the afternoon of last Saturday (8) in the Allianz Parquein São Paulo.

The band brought hits from their best known album, Sublime (1996), and rare tracks of discs less appreciated here. With Jakob Nowell instead where your father, Bradley Nowellmade history, the Sublime maintains two original members: Eric Wilson in the bass and Bud Gaugh on the battery.

In addition, there was room for covers of TOOTS & THE MAYTALS (“54-46 that’s my number“), Bob Marley & The Wailers (“Jaile“) and Feel Like That (“Feel Like That“).

At this point, which seemed like a lack of technical adjustments from the first songs proved permanent. Usually at the beginning of the presentation if the final adjustments of the sound make, but it did not happen with Sublime. Or they chose to leave it the way it was. The fact is that I could often not understand anything Jakob sang or spoke, and it may seem like a heresy, but at times it looked like a cover band Sublime on the stage. And not that good.

It was similar to listening to a garage band rehearsing with all the instruments at the maximum volume, running over to each other, and the singer bumps into hearing. Maybe his return was good, will you know, but there was no person in the audio cabin to adjust the volumes?

The highlight of the show was the guitarist Noodlesfrom The offspringwhich took the stage to play with the band the awaited “What I Got“, from Sublimefollowed by two solo songs of Jakob: “Boss dj“and”Shark pool“, both Robbin ‘The Hood (1995). “Waiting for My Ruca“, from 40 oz. To Freedom“Date Rape“, from JAH WON’T PAY THE BILLS (1991) and “Feel Like That“, cover of STICK FIGUREcame in the sequence. Finally, two from the disc Sublime: “Same in the end“And the most anticipated of the presentation,”Sainting“.

Strolling through the almost entire discography, Sublime He presented many stages of the band for a vast majority who perhaps only knew one of his albums, and showed that they did very well to return to active, just need to be a little more technically sublime.
