Legendary singer of The Who continues to active at the age of 81, with a regular tour of both band and solo career tour
Roger Daltrey It is losing its vision. The vocalist shared the information during the first show of The Who of the year, at the charity event Teenage Cancer Trustlast Thursday, 27. The occasion took place at the Royal Albert Hall in London, England-and the group takes the stage again on Sunday (30).
As reported by NME (via Igor Miranda website) Daltrey initially recalled his advanced hearing loss – something he approached for over a decade. Then the 81 -year -old artist briefly told about the vision problem.
He said:
“The problem with this work is that you get deaf. And now I was told that I’m getting blind.”
With a good mood, Roger also made a reference to the main character of Tommyclassic conceptual album of 1969. He finished:
“Thank God I still have my voice. If I lose it, I will become a complete Tommy.”

Despite the two conditions, Daltrey follows on stage and did not indicate that she will stop. Although The Who performed only two performances in 2024, the singer did a series of 13 shows in the United States in the same period.
The performances at Teenage Cancer Trust, supported by the namesake NGO that assists children with tumors, are currently the only thing that can gather Roger and the guitarist Pete Townshend. The singer contributes to the institution since 2000, but left the position of curator, now assumed by Robert Smith (The Cure).
