Festival takes place between April and July at the Laura Alvim Theater in Ipanema
To celebrate its 120 years of operation in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Light launches the first edition of the festival Lightwhich will occupy the Laura Alvim Theaterin Ipanema, with intimate shows between April and July. With capacity for up to 150 people, the program will bring together big names in Brazilian music and artists of the new generation. Tickets cost $ 10 (full) and are available on the Funarj website.
The debut will be on April 10, with Leila Pinheiro and ROBERTO MENESCAL. Then they take the stage Chico César (17/4), Roça Nova (24/4), Maêan(1/5), Simone Mazzer (8/5), Elba Ramalho (15/5), Chico Chico (27/5), Hamilton de Netherlands (29/5), Juliana Linhares Duo (12/6), Yamandu Costa (19/6), Quarter (24/6) and Laila Garin (24/7).

Curated by Rafaello Ramundothe festival proposes an environment of proximity between public and artist. The presentations will take place in the two theaters of space, promoting a direct connection experience with music.
“The Casa Light festival was born with the proposal to unite tradition and novelty, bringing the audience closer to great masters of our music, while making room for talents that are writing the next chapters of this story,” says Ramundo.
The action is part of a cultural initiative of Slightsponsored via State Culture Incentive Law (ICMS)with the support of State Secretariat of Culture and Creative Economy of the Rio Government.
