Bruce Springsteen announced the release of seven unpublished albums gathered in the collection Tracks II: The Lost Albumswith 83 songs, of which 74 were never released in any official way. Box hits stores and digital platforms on June 27, 2025.

The songs were composed and recorded between 1983 and 2018. According to the musician, all the material was finalized during the pandemic, when he decided to complete and organize the content that was filed for decades.

The seven albums of the collection

The material is organized as seven distinct projects:

  • La Garage Sessions ’83: brings together 18 songs from the period prior to Born in the USA (1984). Among the tracks are “Fugitive’s Dream” and “Don’t Back Down on Our Love”who circulated like bootlegs between fans;

  • Streets of Philadelphia Sessions: explore with electronic battery and synthesizers, started in music “Streets of Philadelphia” (Oscar for best original song in 1994). The album was finished in the 1990s, but was shelved by Springsteen;

  • Faithless: Originally conceived as a trail for a no movie project that went on;

  • Somewhere North of Nashville: sound album influenced by country music;

  • Inyo: contains tracks that refer to Mexican culture and the southern border of the United States, as “Ciudad Juarez” and “The Aztec Dance”;

  • Twilight Hours: Explore traditional and orchestrated pop arrangements, something rare in Springsteen’s discography;

  • Perfect World: Only album that had not been planned as a closed project. It was mounted during the curatorship of the collection.
