Gilberto Gil, Milton Nascimento, Paulinho da Viola and Caetano Veloso They are some of the big names of the year 1942 and completed eight decades of life last year. So, in celebration of this milestone, the Rolling Stone Brazil It presents a special edition of collector addressing the trajectory of the musicians told through their works.
Rolling Stone Brazil: Music History
In unpublished texts, punctuated by historical data and critical analysis, we recall the trajectories of these stars. In such a way that through its rich discographies and most important works (coincidence or not, Paulinho, Gil, Caetano and Milton launched those that we consider their masterpieces in 1972 at the age of 30). In addition, other names have crossed generations in evidence and today support status of true living legends, such as Paul McCartney and Brian Wilson.
Others left too early, leaving impact legacies for the following generations, such as Tim Maia, Jimi Hendrix and Aretha Franklin. Thus, all these and others are exalted in this historical edition, which we hope you are up to these legendary talents.
Following the position of uniting content with experience, the edition will be launched along with another edition of the Rolling Stone Sessions project. Then the party will have a special show led by singer Ana Cañas, who performs walking through the career of the honorees on April 26 on the stage of Blue Note.
