Original Beatles Music Announces Retirement at 83

Pete Best integrated the formation between 1960 and 1962, until replaced by Ringo Starr shortly before the group’s worldwide success

PETE BESToriginal drummer of Beatleshe announced his retirement at the age of 83. The musician was part of the classic band between 1960 and 1962, when he was replaced by Ringo Starr.

The news came to the public through a publication on social networks of Casbah Coffee Club, a concert hall founded by the drummer’s mother. The publication, signed by his brother, Roag Bestit says:

“Well, what a wonderful journey we had. However, everything comes to an end. My brother PETE BEST He announced today that he is retiring from personal appearances and presentations with the group. Your daughter informed me that it is due to personal circumstances. ”

Who is Pete Best

PETE BEST played with Beatles for only two years, alongside Paul McCartney, John Lennon and George Harrison. His resignation happened through the band’s manager, Brian Epsteinin August 1962.

Lack of technical skill and not so good relationship with other members would have been some of the justifications. Despite the brief ticket, it received payments for the sales of the collection Anthology 1 (1995), because ten tracks come from sessions recorded with him.

After his departure from the group, he participated in a series of projects that did not work, which led him to pursue a career as a civil servant. Years later he founded the PETE BEST BANDwith whom he touched until he retired.

In 1988, the Briton joined his brother Roagwith whom you toured. Together, they even released the album Haymans Greenin 2008.
