15 -second video can mark the artist’s new musical era after the 2021 Solar Power album
After deleting all the content of your social networks and your official website, Lord He took advantage of the “restart” to provoke fans with what appears to be a sample of his new musical phase. This Wednesday (9), the singer shared a 15 second video on Tiktok, in which she appears walking through Washington Square Park in New York. The clip is accompanied by an unreleased track, which indicates a possible return of the artist to his roots in the melancholy Synth-Pop-a contrast with the sunny mood of his last album, Solar power (2021).
The lyrics of the song follows the confessional and slightly confronting aesthetic that marks Lord’s work:
“Since 17 / I have given you everything / now we woke up from a dream / well, dear, what was that?”

Teaser reinforces the expectation surrounding the successor of Solar powerreleased in August 2021 and which, at the time, represented the singer’s first album since Melodrama (2017). Since last year, fans speculate Lord’s return based on unreleased music fragments, enigmatic messages and a producer post Jim-e stacksuggesting that the two were working together in the studio.

Since Solar powerthe singer released just a few isolated songs. Among them are a cover of “Take me to the river”for the album Tribute to Talking Heads, Everyone’s Getting Involvedreleased last year; and collaboration with the New Zealand Marlon Williams in “Kāhore He Manu e”present in the first album of the singer in Maori language, Te Whare TīWekAWekareleased last week.
The most recent highlight, however, was Lord’s participation in the remix of “Girl, so confusing”from Charli XCX. The track joined the list of 100 best songs of 2024 from the Rolling Stoneoccupying the 9th position. Remix is part of the album’s deluxe edition Brat and It’s the Same But there’s Three More Songs So It’s Notand Lord even sing the music live next to Charli in the Madison Square Gardenin New York.
