Last tour of the band throughout the United States had occurred with almost different training, with Axl Rose on vocals
THE AC/DC started the American stage of the tour PWR/UP On Thursday, 10, at night, at the US Bank stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. They played exactly the same set as 21 songs they performed at European football stadiums last year, with great classics like “Back in Black”, “Thundersstruck” and “You shook me all Night Long”. They also included two songs from the album Power up2020, besides the title range of STIFF UPPER LIPof 2000, and “Rock ‘N’ Roll Train”from Black Ice, 2008.
The show opens with an explosive interpretation of “If you Want Blood (You’ve Got it)”from the album Highway to Hell1979. The song came out of the band’s live repertoire after the original vocalist’s death, Bon Scottin 1980, and the substitute vocalist, Brian JohnsonOnly sang her at a 2003 concert at Roseland Ballroom in New York, just before the band is introduced to the rock and roll Hall of Fame at Waldorf Astoria nearby. The last tour of the AC/DC by the United States was in 2016, when Brian Johnson had to move away due to hearing problems and Axl Rose took over his place. At that time, the era drummer “Thundersstruck”, Chris Sladewas in the band, and the bassist of the era “Highway to Hell”, Cliff Williamshad not yet retired. Since then, they have been replaced by Matt Laugdrummer of Mike Campbell and the Dirty Knobsand Chris Chaneyformer bassist of Jane’s Addiction. (He chose the right moment to change bands, even if it was not your choice.)
This means that if you saw the AC/DC In 2016 and see them again on this tour, everyone on stage will be different people, except guitarists Angus Young and Stevie Young. But Angus It has been the heart of the band since the first day, and with Brian Johnson Back, this is a more legitimate incarnation of the group, with all due respect to Axl Rose. He did his best in very difficult circumstances. And everything is back to its proper place with Axl taking the road this year with the Guns n ‘Roses on the longest meeting tour in the world. (Next year, they can launch a 10 -year tour of the meeting tour.)
The tour of AC/DC Start on April 14 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The American stage ends on May 28 at the Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland, Ohio. But a month later, they return to Europe for another series of stadium shows. There is no information on future shows in the United States, but this tour is going through only 13 cities on this side of the Atlantic.
