The author states that the successes of the pop singer were unduly inspired by his books and poems written after 11 September

The Pop Star Taylor Swift, known all over the world for its talent as a songwriter, is at the center of a new judicial dispute.

The ex and author Kimberley Marasco has filed a cause in American courts accusing the singer of plagiant extracts from his books and poems in different popular songs. The action was presented in a Florida district court and provides for compositions such as Man, Hoox, Illegal affairs, I can do it with a broken heart AND My tears recochet.

Marasco says that after the attacks of 11 September, he started writing as a way to develop the experiences experienced during his flights at that moment. From this inspiration, books and poems were born which, according to her, contain phrases and poetic buildings used by Swift and its team of composers without any authorization. In his complaint, the author claims that there was “a substantial similarity” among his writings and the lyrics of the songs.

One of the examples indicated by Mararasco is poetry Rays of lightwho claims to have considerable similarities with the song My tears recochet. Other compositions, such as Hoox AND Illegal affairsThey would also use passages with identical phrases or very close to those found in their texts. Taylor Swift: a dispute that has dragged on from 2024

Kimberley Marasco claims to have noticed the similarity after being notified by an acquaintance. The confirmation came, according to her, looking at the tour Eras Tourwhere he noticed direct parallelisms between his texts and the artist’s performances.

By 2024, he had already tried to trigger Swift in a small court court in Florida. However, the process was presented by faults in sending the documentation to the singer.

Determined to take the case in advance, Marasco has returned to court with a new trial, now trying to respect all the legal procedures for the action to proceed in a federal application. He says he is committed to presenting frank tests that his copyright has been violated.

Despite the accusations, Mararasco is not a well -known author. According to the process, his books have sold about 300 copies to date.

The case is still in the early stages and so far there has been no official response from Taylor Swift’s team.
