Festival reaches the fifth edition on November 8 and 9, in Salvador
Exclusively for the Rolling Stone Brazilthe Afropunk Brazil revealed the first names of its 2025 edition, scheduled for the days November 8th and 9thin Salvador Exhibition Park. The program brings together established names of global black music, as Jorja Smith, BK ‘, Liniker, Baianasystem, Atttøøxxáand Periclesbesides bets of the new generation.

At the festival debut, Pericles It takes a show that unites generations and rhythms in a samba wheel mood. Already BK ‘ presents the recently released disc Diamonds, tears and faces to forgetwith participation of Djavan, Fat Family, Milton Nascimento, LUEDJI LUNAbetween others.
Liniker Returns to Afropunk after special participation in the previous edition. This time, it presents the repertoire of the album CASHEW (2024), which plunges into Afro-Brazilian sounds with lyricism and vocal delivery.
Bahians are also confirmed Baianasystem and Atttøøxxáknown for the strength of their live shows, besides the rapper Budahwhich brings the disk tour PURPLEand the singer of Maranhense Nubiawhich is presented next to the Afro Block Muzenza. The DJs Boneka and Umiranda complete the first wave of confirmations.
“More than a festival, Afropunk Brasil is a space where cultures intersect, respect and change. Those who live the Afropunker experience comes out with memories that resonate in the body,” says Ana Amelia Nunespartner and director of content of IDW Entertainment.
With a master sponsorship from Banco do Brasil, which offers exclusive pre-sale on April 22 to BB Ourocard Visa customers, and support from Heineken, the festival promises to reveal new names and activations in the coming months. The general sale will open on April 28.
