The tour of system of a Down In South America came to his second show. Following the debut in Colombia, the National Stadium in Lima, Peru, received last Sunday, 27, the Armenian American band, which hosted its first excursion since August 2024.
The quartet composed of SERJ TANKIAN (voice), Daron Malakian (guitar), Shavo Odadjian (low) and John Dolmayan (battery) offered, according to the website Setlist.fma show of approximately one hour and 55 minutes. It started punctually at 9 pm on local time, according to registration.
In all, 34 songs were played. There was an emphasis on the material present on the disc Toxicity (2001), which had 11 of its 15 tracks represented in set choices.
Eleven was also the number of changes compared to the repertoire in Bogota. Fans in Lima could watch “X”, “36”, “Pictures”, “Highway Song”, “Peephole”, “Kill Rock ‘N Roll”, “Mind”, “Spiders”, “Holy Mountains”, “Dam” and “War?”all debutants on the tour and some of them not performed for years.
The changes are not surprising. In an interview to the site Snsmix.com (via Igor Miranda website), Shavo Odadjian had anticipated that the band would promote changes to diversify the experience of those who want to attend more than one show.
“Svocê goes to two shows, will listen to different songs. Let’s play sets of two hours. We’ll go through all our catalog. We have more than 70 songs, let’s mix them. Let’s rehearse a lot so that we are prepared and can alternate the songs between the sets all the time and not play the same thing repeatedly.”

System of a Down in Brazil and South America
