Music Frutti celebrates 50 years of Prohibited Fruit (Rita Lee) with special show in SP

Luiz Carlini, guitarist of the album, brought together guests such as Frejat, Paulo Ricardo, Andreas Kisser and Supla to honor iconic work

In 2025, the guitarist Luiz Carlini celebrates the 50th anniversary of the classic album Fruit Prohibited (1975), from Rita Lee & Tutti Fruttiwith a special show at Tokio Marine Hall, in São Paulo. Scheduled for July 9, the presentation will have illustrious guests, as Frejat, Paulo Ricardo, Andreas Kisser, Suplain addition to other names that will still be announced.

Tickets will be on sale from Sunday, 4, on the website Ticketmaster. There will be pre-sale between Friday, 2, and Saturday, 3. The event has production of Top Link Music.

A milestone of national rock, Forbidden fruit It is Rita Lee’s fourth album without Mutant And the second recorded since its departure from the group in 1972, as well as the second in partnership with Tutti Frutti. Also represented the artist’s debut at the label Free sound. Amid his nine tracks and 37 minutes long, he brought songs as “Black sheep”, “Now you just miss you”, “This Roque Enter” and “Luz del Fuego”which became classics of Brazilian music.

Initially, about the album, Luiz Carlini reflects in a statement:

“This album was recorded in 1975, here in São Paulo, at Eldorado Studios, in 16 channels, at a time when we were a very united band. Rita was composing a lot, me too, and we lived wonderful celebrations. Forbidden fruit is the result of this amazing phase – a record we did without the slightest pretense of knowing where it would be so awarded and so cited in music. Today, it is considered one of the best albums of Brazilian rock and remains a great reference. ”

Still in a statement, the guitarist highlights the special presentation:

“We will have illustrious guests of Brazilian rock – guys who enjoyed the album, who liked it at the time, rewrote their songs and play them live. Among these guests are my great friends Frejat, Paulo Ricardo, Andreas Kisser, Supla, and other names that will still be announced until the release of the show will join this party!”
