American band held in South Korea inaugural presentation of tour that will still pass through other Asia countries, besides Europe and the Middle East
New Year, New Life for the Guns n ‘Roses. The Hard Rock American band did, last Thursday, 1st, its first show since November 2023. It took place at Songdo Moonlight Festival Park in Inceon, South Korea.
The kick -off of the tour “BECAUSE What you want & what you get are Two Completely Different Things” – which will still pass through other Asia countries, besides Europe and the Middle East – brought a prominent news. The drummer Isaac Carpenter performed its inaugural show with Axl Rose, Slash and company. The vacancy was occupied before by Frank Ferrerwho broke with the now former colleagues in March after almost two decades of services provided.
If the repertoire itself did not bring any new song compared to other years, at least the order of execution had a curious difference. According to the website Setlist.fmthe classic “Welcome to the Jungle”album track APPETITE FOR DESTRATION (1987), was used to open a show for the first time since February 10, 2012. That is: it has not happened since the guitarist’s returns Slash and the bassist DUFF MCKAGANsacrament in 2016.
Although it is positioned precisely as the first song of its original album, “Welcome to the Jungle” It usually occupies different positions on the setlist. In 2023, for example, it was the seventh in line – “It’s So Easy” inaugurated the works. Already in 2019, it entered as the fourth in order.

Check out the repertoire performed by Guns N ‘Roses during his first concert with Isaac Carpenter.
