Nana was hospitalized at the San José clinic in Botafogo, Rio de Janeiro, since July last year to treat cardiac arrhythmia. In the period hospitalized, he underwent surgery to implement a pacemaker.
“It is with great regret that I communicate the death of my sister Nana Caymi. We are very shocked and sad. He spent nine months suffering in the hospital, in intensive care, a very painful process. Different comorbilities,” said Danilo on social networks.
Dinahir Tostes Caymi, better known as Nana Caymi, is the daughter of Stella Maris and Dorival Caymi, two big names in Brazilian music. The singer marked successes as “response to time” and “Just Crazy”. Nana was married to the Venezuelan doctor Gilberto José Point Paoli, with whom he had three children, Stella Teresa, Denise Maria and João Gilberto.
