Disco marks the singer’s return to studio releases and opens the tour that will pass the Best of Blues and Rock festival
Five years after the album The bubbleindicated to Latin Grammy, Vitor Kley debut a new chapter in your career with the album The little great things. Launched on April 25, the project unites aesthetics, emotion and personal experiences in a work that the singer describes as the most intimate he has ever done. Visiting the studio of Rolling Stone BrazilHe told more details about the album and the next shows – including his participation in the Best of Blues and Rock festival.
“This, I think studio album has been almost five years since The bubblewhich was launched in the middle of the pandemic. And I think the studio album has a totally different value, because I really like to tie the concept on the album”, He told in an interview with RS.
With 11 tracks, the new album marks a period of start and creative diving after a while away from releases. The album is born of family experiences, simple gestures and small emotions that the singer has seen gain new layers during the creation process.
“These little gestures, these little things that sometimes I have the impression that humanity is letting go between my fingers.”
The title, according to him, summarizes the essence of the work: “I really wish the album to give this effect… it goes beyond music. There is a song there that is one of the pillars even supporting the album, which is called ‘will be fine’. […] It’s really a question: how much is our life worth? Are we making it worthwhile?”
First time as a producer: “You will hear more of me”
Another novelty on the album was Vitor’s role in the technical process. Instead of just delivering the songs to the producer, he took the lead in the construction of the arrangements and officially signed the production of the album alongside Paul Ralphes.
“I always was self-sabbing: ‘No, I’m not ready yet’ … until Paul Ralphes, my brother, my manager, and say, ‘Dude, you have to sign’. The songs are in your pre-production, we will use a lot from there. So old, you have to sign.”
“For those who like my art, will hear more of me, man. He will hear my finger there, my thinking there, what I was thinking about the day I turned that arrangement …”
Clovis de Barros Filho, Mourning and Music
One of the most exciting moments of the album is the track “Vai by Me”, which brings a special participation of the philosopher Clovis de Barros Filho. The song was born in 2018, during a delicate moment in Vitor’s personal life: the depression of the father, who died during the album process.
“When I went to invite Professor Clovis to participate, he said: ‘Vitor, I’m inside, I loved it’. It was amazing. […] The last chance I had to show this song to my father was at his wake.”
Clovis’s final speech in music brings the message that the artist wants to leave as a legacy:
“I see this song as the greatest power I’ve ever done throughout my life. And that’s what I hope for her, yes.”
Show at Best of Blues and Rock: “A Gift of Life”
One of the most special dates on the agenda is the Vitor Kley show at the festival Best of Blues and Rockscheduled for June 7, at Ibirapuera Park, in São Paulo. In the line-up of the day are names like Dave Matthews Band, Richard Ashcroft and Large dog.
“It was an invitation that we stifled on the spot. My brother Bruno said: ‘There is a show that we will not have to let go, which will be in Sao Paulo, Best of Blues and Rock’. Then he said, ‘Only it is with Dave Matthews Band’. I said: damn, animal!”
“The small and great things could not already have such wonderful news as this: playing the best of blues and rock with Dave Matthews Band and another amazing guys.”

Stage as a sacred environment: “I feel close to my purpose”
For Vitor, being live is one of the purest forms of connection with art and the public.
“The stage is sacred. When I’m there, I feel closer and closer to my life purpose. […] It is a moment that we have to celebrate life and realize the small and great things.”
About what the audience can expect from the shows of the new phase, he summarizes:
“They can expect a very happy guy. A super musical show, with metals, bolero, bossa nova, guitar moments … we already made the debut and it was too much.”
