Banda runs the commemorative tour “Maneva 20 years, Origin” and comments on the importance of the date to celebrate one of the main genres of world music
Traditionally celebrated in the second week of May, in 2025 the Mother’s Day It happens this Sunday, 11. But this is not the only celebration scheduled on the agenda. In Brazil, May 11 is also known as the National Reggae Day.
The date came in 2012 and honors one of the biggest names in the genre: the singer, guitarist and composer Jamaican Bob Marleywho died on May 11, 1981, victim of cancer.

The artist was responsible for internationally popularizing reggae, and became one of the most famous musicians of all time, gaining several generations and a legion of fans worldwide. Here, the genre was incorporated into national culture and was consecrated by names such as Gilberto Gil, Natiruts and Managethat carries this legacy with pride.
Celebrating the reggae is to reaffirm the purpose of the genre. The sound that honors love, peace, which makes us more generous, less materialistic, and especially that taught us to make music with our hearts. Reggae is the song that brings peace to the soul, and this is essential for today, ”the band members told Rolling Stone Brazil.
Although recognized as a traditional and solidified genre, reggae is still alive. “A sound that is in constant transformation, evolves and renews itself with new influences,” said POLLI TALES (voice), Felipe Sousa (guitar), FERNANDO CAT (low), DIEGO ANDRADE (percussion) and Fabinho Araújo (battery).
“Reggae is, for sure, the trend, the next sensation. It is always current and is revealing a growing freshness in recent times. Many other styles are converging to reggae, so we visualized a big movement for the coming years.”

The band has more reason to celebrate. In 2025, the Manage Celebrates the 20 years of career with a tour that will run the country. The agenda began this Saturday, 10, in Macaé (RJ) and passes through cities from several Brazilian states until the show of October 10 in Porto Alegre (RS).
It is being nostalgic, it is very special to celebrate two decades of career. THE Manage It lived many phases, all special, and that helped us to follow spread the message of love, peace and conscience throughout the country. Our trajectory is marked by a collection of amazing moments with music, with our fans and, above all, with the purpose of impacting people with a sound that touches the soul and heart. ”

For this tour, the group brings the main hits of all stages of their careers, including the latest studio album, Originreleased in 2024. “We wanted to leave this album very present in this tour because it celebrates the partnership of us five, together, in studio: producing, composing. We are very happy with the results, with the return we are having, to see the guys singing and enjoying the show. It is very gratifying, because it was long months of production.
And don’t stop there. This year, the Manage will also be in João Rockone of the most important festivals of Brazilian music. The event takes place on June 14 in Ribeirão Preto (SP) and also features names like Seu Jorge, Natiruts, Planet Hemp, Baianasystem, Manage, Marcelo Falcão, Nando Reis, Red baron, Black city and Rael invites FBC and Rincon Sapiência.
While celebrating the past and the present, the band also looks to the future. “You can expect 20 years of band! Everything we have lived here has been to enhance our work and reggae with great joy, and today we are here with more experience and maturity,” they promise.
