Hard Rock American band vocalist and guitarist says that the first riff he learned in his life was “Heaven and Hell”
Among the constellation of artists who will perform at the farewell festival of the Black Sabbath – Metallic, Slayer, Alice in Chains, Anthrax, Gojira, Guns n ‘Roses and others – the presence of a single woman catches the eye. It is about LZZY HALE.
The vocalist and guitarist leads the HalestormHard Rock band formed in 1997, in the United States. She was also quickly part of the Skid row in 2024.
In an interview with the channel Audacy Music (via NME), Hale said it is an honor to represent the female community at the event and that he received the support of other women in the music scene. She commented:
“Being the only woman invited to be there is an honor. I was talking to my friends, Taylor Momsen (The Pretty Reckless), Amy Lee (Evanescence), Maria Brink (In this moment) And all my style sisters, and they are very proud of me. And I said, ‘Hey, girls, I’m carrying you with me. You will be there in spirit. I will make you very proud. ‘”
Interestingly, Lzzy Hale almost missed the opportunity to be with Halestorm at the festival. In the same interview, she says she was so surprised by the invitation that she thought it was a joke.
The artist said:
“Dude, we received an email from Sharon Osbourne. And I didn’t answer for two days. Because I was like, ‘Is this real?’ It’s amazing ‘. I’m a fan of Black Sabbath since I was 11 years old. The first riff I learned on guitar was that of ‘Heaven and Hell ‘from Black Sabbath. “

A legendary band, however, preferred to refuse the invitation. Alex Lifeson and Geddy Lee were called to present themselves with the Rushbut declined. The guitarist and bassist/vocalist have no plans to reactivate the Canadian group after the drummer’s death Neil Peartin 2020.
