American vocalist gave details about his next work and said he will be available before the band’s new album
Brandon Flowersvocalist of The Killersgave more details about his new solo album. Successor to The Desired Effect (2015), the album arrives before the next work of its band.
In an interview with NMEafter being honored with the Special International Award in the Ivo Navello Awards 2025, presented by Bruce Springsteenthe artist told about the approach that the launch will bring. When asked if the album would have elements of the 2015 album, Flowers revealed that it went the other way:
“In fact, it’s a step back. It’s more in the direction of Flamingo (2010). I made two southwest records if you want to know the truth. One is a romantic disk from the southwest, and the other is a southwest narrative album that continues from where Pressure Machine [álbum do The Killers de 2021] stopped. I’m excited about both, and both will be released before the next Killers album – but I’m also excited about the next Killers album. ”

Flowers also talked about his inspirations in terms of the composition of the letters and cited the importance of Springsteen:
“This is one more reason why Bruce is so important to me – he gave me permission to write about things I really know, experiences I really witnessed, I lived. There is something powerful in this. When people hear, no matter where they are, they understand and capture the heart and soul of that.
Regarding The Killers’ new album, the singer said it is still early to know what direction will work will have. Regardless of this, it was emphatic: the band will only release it “If it’s the best”.
