Demi Lovato identified herself only with neutral pronouns and told in an interview because now she also identifies with the female gender
Demi Lovato explained why he returned to using feminine pronouns in addition to neuters. In a recent podcast interview Spout, the singer said that she identifies as a fluid gender and that she transitions between the feminine and masculine.
“Lately, I’ve been feeling more feminine, so I’ve adopted the [pronome] she/her again. I think the important thing is that nobody is perfect”, said the singer. “Everyone gets confused with pronouns at some point, especially when learning. It’s all about respect,” she added.
In May of last year, the singer announced that she would use neutral pronouns and that she identifies with a non-binary gender – neither female nor male, but which was still in a process of rediscovery.
“For me, I’m such a fluid person when it comes to my gender, my sexuality, my music,” she said. “Especially in the past year, my energy has been balanced into my masculine and feminine energy. “When I was faced with the choice of going into a bathroom and I said ‘women’ and ‘men’, I didn’t feel like there was a bathroom for me,” Lovato continued.
It is not uncommon for people to use multiple sets of pronouns to identify themselves. Halsey, for example, told fans in March 2021 that she would do the same, taking the pronouns she/elu.
