British singer performed at Best of Blues and Rock 2025 on the inaugural night with a shirt from Ayrton Senna
The British singer Richard Ashcroftpopularly known for joining the band The Vervemade his first solo presentation in Tupiniquin lands, being part of the line-up First weekend of the festival Best of Blues and Rock. The musician even announced a presentation in the country in 2016, but without confirmation.
The anxious local fans thanked the wait. Already with full lawn, the frontman started the presentation punctually at 18h and, despite the mass audience, printed an intimate show, with few effects of light and dark screen, only with his own logo.
The surprise, seen with difficulty by fans, was captured by the big screen lens: shortly after thanking the reception on his first visit, showed a t -shirt honoring the Brazilian pilot Ayrton Senna. Without other shows announced in Latin America, it was easy to find in the audience having the opportunity to see him live for the first time.
The setlist was also divided with songs from his solo work and hits from The Verveleaving the classics to the end ‘Lucky Man’ and ending with ‘Bitter Sweet Symphony’both from the album ‘Urban Hymns’ (1997).
The first festival day featured the gauchos Vitor Kley and the Large dog at the opening, with Dave Matthews Band Closing Saturday night (7). Foreigners repeat their presentations on Sunday (8) with Soul Lee and Paula Lima interpreting songs of Rita Lee and Red baron at the opening.
