Taylor Swift is the goal of judicial dispute in case of harassment in Hollywood

The judge refuses judicial protection in the middle of a trial that involves delicate accusations behind the scenes

The actress Blake Lively had her order of protection order denied by the federal judge Lewis J. Liman, who refused to prevent the actor’s access and director Justin Baldoni at his private conversations with the singer Taylor Swift.

The judicial clash revolves around the production of the characteristic “Here’s how it ends”, with Lively and Baldoni and involves accusations of harassment and retaliation.

The trial, in progress in the American court, exhibits a growing dispute between the two protagonists of the adaptation of the bestselling of Colleen Hoover. Lively, through his legal team, asked the Court to prevent Baldoni and his producer, Wayfarer Studios, to use their conversations with Taylor Swift as a test element in this case what, he said, would be just an attempt to attract public attention to the file.

In the documents sent to court, the actress says that the quick messages are not relevant for the merits of the trial and warn a possible exploration of the media of the singer’s image. According to Lively, the name of Swift was appropriately used by Baldoni to focus on the serious accusations against him behind the scenes of the feature.

In his decision, Judge Liman recognized that there is really the risk of improper use of the image of Taylor Swift for public relations purposes. However, he also claimed that messages may contain information relevant to the accusation that the singer would be aware of episodes of misconduct conducted behind the scenes of the film.

“The actress’s concern is legitimate,” wrote the judge, “but communications could be relevant as long as they are directly related to the accusations made in the action”.

He added that the requested material must not be discarded immediately, especially considering that lively he quoted quickly in previous times as someone aware of the workplace during the recordings.

At the same time, the judge also denied the request for coercion made by Baldoni and Wayfarer, which required the immediate delivery of documents by the actress. According to Liman, both sides must collaborate with caution, respecting the limits of what may or may not be publicly exposed.

Taylor Swift: broken silence and reputation at risk

Blake Lively’s team has reiterated the press that will continue to denounce what she considers a deliberate attempt to use the popularity of Taylor Swift as a curtain of smoke. In a statement to the magazine PeopleHe declared a representative of the actress:

“These efforts are a distraction missed by serious accusations of sexual harassment and retaliation that weigh on Baldoni and his team.”

On the other hand, the defense of the actor claims that the requested material is part of a legitimate search for tests that could refute the accusations of Lively. The dispute continues to shed light on the growing stress behind the scenes of the film industry, where legal procedures now share the spotlight with debut and red rugs.

The process is not yet programmed to conclude, but the next steps should reveal whether the messages of the pop singer will actually be included as proof or if they continue to maintain the confidentiality of friendships and behind the scenes.
