Music Program of Brazilian Music Announces Cazuza as a great honoree of the 2026 edition

The BTG Pactual Award for Brazilian Music announced Cazuza As the great honoree of his 33rd edition, which will take place in 2026. The announcement was made to the artist’s family in a joint call of counselors to Cazuza’s mother, Lucinha Araújo, who received the news enthusiastically.

The choice of Cazuza was unanimously approved by the counselors present at the meeting: Zé Mauricio Machline, Gilberto Gil, Ney Matogrosso, Zélia Duncan (who first participated as a new member of the Council), Karol Conká, Antonio CarlosMiguel and Giovanna Machline.
