The reading of the letters revives the classic format with touching messages
Xuxa Meneghel wears the crown of her queen again not only of the little ones, but now also hearts that fight for visibility, love and respect.
This month of LGBTQIAPN+PRIDE, the presenter joins Globoplay in a special action that brings together affection, memory and representativeness in the form of audiovisual.
The highlight goes to the relaunch of his song “Rainbow”, in a completely renewed clip, which strengthens an urgent and timeless message: love does not have a single color is plural, vibrant and resistant.
The initiative is part of the digital series “Letters of Pride”, consisting of seven episodes that resume the nostalgic format of the reading of the iconic letters “Xou from Xuxa”.
But if they were previously children who asked toys or sent kisses, now they are real, deep and sometimes painful reports of names such as Milton Cunha, Ana Hikari, Rodrigo Sant’Anna, Nany People, Diego Martins, Silvero Pereira, Jup of the neighborhood and Vinicio (ex BBB).
Xuxa read the texts for the first time at the time of registration. “It was a punch in the stomach,” he confesses. “He made me want to put him on his lap, scream for them. A mixture of helplessness with a maternal feeling.
When I read Milton Cunha, I wanted to embrace him for the absence of his mother. I was sad, but the heart became warmer of knowing that they trusted me to tell these stories “, reveals the presenter, with the emotional frankness that marks his new phases.
Xuxa: Clip earns new aesthetics and dives into the strength of diversity
The icing on the cake will be launched on June 28, the date on which the day of the pride Lgbtqiapn+is celebrated all over the world. It is an unprecedented viewer for “Rainbow”, a track composed in 1987 and eternalized in the “Super Xuxa against the abstract” feature.
Now, the song takes up with contemporary aesthetics, various costumes (nine in all, some taken from the presentator’s personal collection) and take -Up with the image of Xuxa with surprising scenes of LGBTQIAPN+ characters and stories available in the Globoplay catalog.
The production is signed by a team made up mainly of LGBTQIAPN+professionals, both by the personal team of Globo and from Xuxa, which strengthens the proposal not only to speak of diversity, but to practice it at every stage of the creative process.
“Xuxa has always embraced the cause and has raised flags against discrimination. The new” Rainbow “clip is more than a reinterpretation: it is a visual manifesto of inclusion and affection”, says Jorge Carrasco, head of the social network strategy in Globo.
If before Xuxa enchanted with glitter, paquitas and colorful records, today it excites with welcoming, active listening and the same courage as always. At 61, the artist shows that his mission goes beyond entertainment: now it is still a bridge, a shelter and a voice, for those who have always wanted to exist with pride.
