This new stage of the career brings the experiences accumulated by the artist over the years, but also exposes another version of himself. With production of Moreno Veloso and support from Domenico Lancellotti (battery), Pedro Sá (guitar), Bruno di Lullo (low) and Eduardo Manso (Electronic schedules), Raquel Uses rock to walk your own feelings while sings about love, anger and the anguish of contemporary life.
Created in the corridors of the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences, University of São Paulo, The bays It had political and social criticism in the soul. Concern continues, but the protagonism of I did not fire the house by miracle It is from Rachel herself.
Today I have a slightly more egocentric look. Several times I was thinking about my limitations, how toxic I am, I have symptoms of envy, grudge, anger, all in the personal. It is as if my psychological abysses, my emotional abysses, are much more in the foreground, ”he explained to Rolling Stone Brazil.
The album features eight tracks, six of them by the artist. The list of rereading is the list of “Erotic Autotune” (Gal Costa, Caetano Veloso and Moreno Veloso) and “Vidinha” (Rita Lee and Roberto de Carvalho). Another great influence is the filmmaker Pedro Almodóvarwhich inspired the cover and title of the album, taken from the book of Tales The last dream.
“It’s a metaphor that I didn’t fire the house, but I almost burned myself. The house is me. I wanted to set fire to me, but it has a miraculous lapse that reconnects me with myself.”
Rolling Stone Sessions
At the invitation of Rolling Stone Brazil, Raquel Take the stage of BLUE NOTE SAO PAULO On July 9 to present the album. Amid so many stimuli, catastrophes and anguish, I did not fire the house by miracle It brings to the public a message of disbelief of the anguish.
It is an abyss, we are on a psychological limit and this brings these sensations of anger, envy and crises of comparison. There comes a time that willingness to set up everything. That’s why it’s a rock album, because only a guitar, a battery and a very rock bass are able to empty me. I feel like the people who go to the show are relieved. ”
