The work will bring together 100 black and white drawings of portraits and landscapes
The next release of Bob Dylan It will not be a new song, but a book of drawings. On Tuesday, the publisher Simon & Schuster announced that it will publish Point blank (Quick Studies)a collection of black and white works made by the musician between 2021 and 2022, scheduled for release on November 18.
The collection brings together about 100 drawings of Dylanwith portraits and landscapes that include images of skaters, a suspended bridge, a karaoke singer, a Parisian channel, a man with a crooked smile and a roll of tape.
“This book reveals the mastery of Bob Dylan in telling stories, creating atmospheres and provoking emotions, ”he said Sean ManningExecutive of the publisher. “The images are deeply evocative, both innocent and tired of the world, cheerful and melancholic, humorous and sensual, enigmatic and family.”

Several of the drawings in the book are currently on display at the Halcyon Gallery in London, with a show open until July 6. The book will also feature small texts written by Eddie Gorodetsky, Jackie Hamilton and Lucy Sante. Gorodetsky worked with Dylan in your radio program and in the book The Philosophy of Modern Song2022.
“The ability to Dylan to find beauty and mystery in what looks worldly is one of his great talents, and a gift that he has offered to the public over the years, including now with Point blank”, He added Manning.
Dylan He kept his works privately for much of his life, but began to expose them around 2007. He also published a drawing book in 2008, titled The Drawn Blank Series.
In addition to the book, the publisher will also release an unnamed audiobook version of the autobiography Chronicles: Volume 1narrated by Sean Penn. To date, only an abbreviated version of audiobook is available.
