With politically engaged lyrics, the album is a great positioning: “For us, art has a social function”Comments Ale Cazarottolead singer of the band and one of the producers and writers of the album. “It makes the listener think. It doesn’t change the world, but it changes people. People change the world”, to complete.

From the name, the work speaks aloud. Referring to a line from one of the songs on the record – holy nameinspired by Carlos Drummond de Andrade and thrown next to the Plant and root“The walls do not know how to listen” is a title of great symbolism. The “walls” symbolize division, separation and oppression. What holds us and surrounds us. These same walls do not listen, they are not open to debate: they must be demolished with action, with struggle. “The name sums up many aspects of the album for us”, points Renato Frei, the guitarist of the band and one of the producers and writers of the record.

“We are not interested in encouraging the word, we want to encourage action”. Also, the name speaks to the idea that the “walls” won’t be able to listen to the album. “We have a side. And that side is not the side of oppression, of fascism. It’s not the side of these walls. These songs are for us, not for them.”He says Cazarotto.
