Internet users point to another additional value in the acquisition of entry for shows through the Eventim platform
The pre-sale of tickets for the My Chemical Romance show at Allianz Parque, in São Paulo, has generated complaints for an extra charge in the purchase process. In addition to the service rates (imposed by the sakers) and administration (responsibility of the event houses), fans report the presence of the processing rate.
In a half -chair ticket purchase simulation, the Eventim page, a platform that sells tickets in a virtual environment, points out the following values:
- Value of the ticket itself: R $ 322.50
- Service rate: R $ 70.31 (about 21.8% of the ticket amount)
- Administration Fee: R $ 21.00 (fixed amount – in this case, about 6.5% of the ticket value)
- Processing Rate: R $ 12.41 (about 3.8% of the ticket amount)
- Total value: R $ 426.22 (32.1% increase in the originally disclosed value)
In another simulation, with entire entry for the Premium Track sector, the prices below are informed:
- Value of the ticket itself: R $ 895.00
- Service rate: R $ 195.11 (21.8% of the ticket amount)
- Administration Fee: R $ 21.00 (fixed – in this case, about 2.3% of the ticket amount)
- Processing Rate: R $ 33.33 (about 3.7% of the ticket amount)
- Total value: R $ 1,144.44 (27.8% increase in the value originally disclosed)
The Eventim website explains each charge as follows:
Service rate:
“The service fee corresponds to the remuneration of the service offered when, by customer choice, the purchase is made through the Eventim website or points of sale (PDVs), and there is no need to move to the official ticket office, where the fee is not charged. repayment and/or refund. ”
Processing Rate:
“The processing fee is charged to cover essential costs for the operation and maintenance of the electronic payment system, such as transaction processing costs (authorization and payment operation), customer information security (financial data protection), transfer of funds to the event promoter and other related services. It will be charged based on the amount and items of the order performed and will be applicable to depend on the form of electronic payment when a customer makes the purchase or payment by Example Credit Cards, Debt and Pix, Payment Place, Transaction, Volume, Payment Processors involved in the transaction, among other factors. ”
Administration Rate (ADM):
“The Administration Fee (ADM) is charged by the company that holds exclusivity in the management of event programming, shows and shows on certain arenas, stadiums and/or concert halls, at its unique criterion, and it is not possible to have any responsibility in this charge. It is a rate in fixed and unique value, regardless of sector or type of ticket, either in online sales, either in the PDVs-the ADM rates. intended for prospecting events, continuing investments in improvements to shows and shows, and thus the continuous development of space and their related activities, in order to offer better experiences to the public and attract the best national and international attractions, increasing the agendas of these spaces.
Still, the processing rate, less known to the public and possibly applied to more recent purchases, motivated criticism through the networks. “They invented another rate for tickets. In addition to the convenience rate, administrative rate and installment interest, now has the processing rate.”says a netizen for X/Twitter. “Adm rate, process rate and service fee – a service that you present the ticket in the app and that when buying has all the socks sold out at 5 mins. Literally a ticket that cost 800 reais was 1,000, what absurd. And Procon does what?” Nothing! ”lament another. The repercussion can be checked by clicking here.
