Singer reflects on loves and anguish in not burning the house by miracle, a album she presents live at the invitation of Rolling Stone Brazil

At the invitation of Rolling Stone Brazil, Raquel Take the stage of BLUE NOTE SAO PAULO To present the album on July 9 (tickets available at this link) and with the promise of delivering a lot of “eye and connection” with the public.
The name and visual identity of the album were born from an inspiration in the Pedro Almodóvar, The last dream. “It’s a metaphor. I didn’t fire the house, but I almost burned myself. The house is me. I wanted to set fire, to break with me, but it has a miracle conscience lapse that reconnects me with myself,” he explains.

The list of rereading is the list of “Erotic Autotune” (Gal Costa, Caetano Veloso and Moreno Veloso) and “Vidinha” (Rita Lee and Roberto de Carvalho). 1- I did not fire the house by miracle
The title track opens the first solo album of Raquel with a preview about the characteristic of the work. “And if I say goodbye/It’s because you go away/And if I say goodbye/just a little more, just another fuck”it sings.
This album is contradictory. Sometimes she’s in love. Others are very angry. I think this song sums up this very well, ”he explains.
2- Football player
In this track on a novel, Raquel It brings a bolero with many hints of electronic music. The mixture creates the provocation of a love and horny between the lyrical self and a soccer player. Both live delicious moments of passion.
3- Monopoly
In the third song on the album, the artist reflects on love from the point of view of obsession. “Monopoly” There is also a trick that, in the first listening, can go unnoticed: “It is not she who is all his. She is telling him to scream that he is all hers. She wants him to say she loves her, and is showing how he has to do it.”
4- Live
Here is one of the most intriguing tracks on the album, according to the artist. “It’s a song that discusses what is true and a lie in this live composition. It looks like because it’s live it’s true, without manipulation.” Among the references, there is a mention of the twin tower attack on September 11, a tragedy accompanied live, but almost transformed into entertainment. “It also brings this thing of the people who kiss transvestites hiding. It’s not live, but that kiss wasn’t happening.”
5- Autotune Autoerotic
In a dialogue with the previous track, the song inspired by the song of Gal Costa Talk about the beauties of singing that treatment and editing tools are not able to create. The track also explains the inspiration in Corner (2011), album of Gallery with songs composed of Caetano Veloso.
6- Meat of my verses
Music refers to Seven -faced poemfrom Carlos Drummond de Andrade. “When I was born, a crooked angel/of those who live in the shadow/said, Go, Carlos, be Gauche in life,” he wrote. In the version of Raquel, “When I was born, nobody told me anything/I took a lot of spanking and I saw some lies”. “It’s a song about indifference and we brought it in a rock concept.”

Rereading of the song of Rita Leethe song that ends the album was a suggestion of the producer Moreno Veloso. The two artists connect with the São Paulo origins, but mainly for the mockery when describing seizures of panic, anxieties and therapy.
