After a first season of concerts in Europe in early 2025, Seu Jorge Resumes your international tour BAILE A LA BAIANA with a new round of presentations for the old continent. The drag takes place this Thursday, 3, in Denmark, when the carioca arrives in the Roskilde Festivalthe same night as names like Beth Gibbons, Ark, Stormzy and Beababaobee They also take the stage.
In an official statement, the artist comments on the Danish event, one of the three largest on the continent: “It is impossible not to be goose bumps just thinking about the energy of that audience”. From then on, the marathon goes through a list of stages that define the European summer.

The repertoire mixes classic as “Bourgens” and “Friend of my wife” with the new ranges of BAILE A LA BAIANAalbum in which the artist deepens the dialogue between samba, funk carioca and grooves Afro-latinos. He completes:

More shows in Europe – and in Brazil
After ending the European series in Zurich, Seu Jorge pauses three weeks and returns to the continent in August to six dates in Portugal, including tickets for Azores, Porto and Cascais.

About Seu Jorge
Singer, songwriter, actor and multi-instrumentalist, Seu Jorge navigates between the universes of samba, MPB, R&B, Bossa Nova and Funk, connecting generations and borders through music and cinema.
Born Jorge Mário da Silva in Belford Roxo, Rio de Janeiro State, his first contact with art happened in the theater. In the early 1990s, he joined the theater company of the State University of Rio de Janeiro (Tuerj), where he participated in more than 20 pieces, including The Flour Saga. At the same time, his experience in Rio de Janeiro bohemia led him to attend samba wheels, funk balls and charm, creating the base for his musical identity.
Seu Jorge emerged to the general public in 1997, when founding the band Farofa cariocawith Gabriel Moura and the French Flautist Bertrand Doldaina group that mixed rap, samba, MPB, soul and reggae. The debut album, I live in Brazilcontained the iconic single “The Flesh”, a social criticism that became an anti -racist anthem in the voice of Elza Soares.
Shortly thereafter, he began his solo career and, in 2001, launched Samba Sport Finealso known internationally as Carolineproduced by Mário Caldato and Daniel Ganjaman. The album signed its name in Brazilian music, with hits like “Carolina” and “Arrives at swing”.
Parallel to music, Seu Jorge found in the cinema a platform to expand his art. His first major performance was as Mané Chicken in City of God (2002), Fernando Meirelles. The film has achieved international success, opening doors for its participation in Marine life with Steve Zissou (2004), from WES ANDERSON. In the feature, Seu Jorge reinterpreted classics of David Bowie in Portuguese, conquering the admiration of the British artist himself, who declared: “If Seu Jorge had not recorded my songs in Portuguese, I would never have heard this new level of beauty that he imbued them”.
In the following years, his discography grew, consolidating him as one of the biggest names in Brazilian music. Crude (2004) brought authentic interpretations and tracks as “I was right” and “I’m a slum”. Seu Jorge also shone with ANA & JORGE (2005), a partnership with Ana Carolina that immortalized “That’s it”version of “The Blower’s Daughter”from Damien Rice.
In the international scenario, it won the criticism with the project Seu Jorge & Almaznext to Lúcio Maia and Pupillofrom the Zombie nationand the composer Antonio Pinto. The album was endorsed by publications such as Washington Post and The New York Times. Your album AMERICA BRAZIL (2008) revealed successes such as “Bourgeoisinha” and “Condominium Mine” And it was the winner of the Latin Grammy of Best MPB album.
