ECAD Survey points to the 10 songs of the most executed artist in Brazil, as well as those that received the largest number of re -records
Deceased in 1989, Raul Seixas left a legacy of 324 musical works and 409 recordings registered in the database of the Central Office of Collection and Distribution (Ecad).
The musical works are their compositions, with lyrics and/or melody and in partnership or not. The recordings are records of musical works available in digital form (such as streaming) or physical support (such as a DVD).
With this, the same musical work can have different recordings, such as the original, an acoustic version or a show recorded for a DVD.
The music “Cowboy out-of-law”composed in partnership with Cláudio Robertoleads the ranking of the most executed publicly in the last year. The information surprises, because the track of the album UAH-BAP-LU-BAP-LAH-BEIN-BUM! (1987) was released when Raul no longer lived the best moment of his career, although he became a hit and integrated the soundtrack of the global soap opera Tacky & chic. Besides, it is not the artist’s most heard song in the spotify streaming – title with “Walking metamorphosis”.
The biggest highlight among the rewrites is “Fear of the rain”partnership with Paulo Coelho. In all, there are 72 registered phones of the album’s original song Gita (1974).
In the country, ECAD is the institution responsible for collecting and distributing copyright whenever there is public use of music on any channel or space: radio, TV, cinema, commercial establishments, digital platforms, party houses, shows and other places of collective frequency. With this, the institution guarantees remuneration to authors, interpreters, musicians, editors and phonographic producers.
