In an interview, Chance the Rapper explained how he has faced criticism since high school
Several people on the internet began to criticize Chance the Rapper and say that the singer failed. In response, the artist went to The Breakfast Club to talk about criticism of his work.
“How hard is it not to feed the criticisms you can see of yourself online? Because there’s a lot of online talk that they like to say that Chance the Rapper failed, that’s their language,” said the rapper.
“Man. I don’t know. To me it’s like, I could do one of two things: I could go along with it, or I could live my life,” he continued. Chance the Rapper. “If I agree with that, then it means that The Breakfast Club fell, because you don’t have people who fell down sitting in their chair, I think generally not. And then I feel like I need to keep on my way.”
Then the musician went on to explain how he has faced such criticism since high school, a few years before the release of his famous mixtapes, such as acid rap (2013): “People said I failed when I was in high school. I made four mixtapes! I was told in high school, ‘Your last job was better.'”
I can play around with it, but it’s hard, but it’s like, I don’t know, what can I say? Telling people my feelings are hurt?
