Music icon of the metal that made a point of watching the return of Oasis

The meeting of the meeting began at the end of last week Oasisa Live ’25. The two inaugural shows, the first of Liam and Noel Gallagher Together in almost 16 years, they have rolled at the Principatility Stadium in Cardiff, Wales.

However, the most surprising popular name – at least in first sight – is that of Lars Ulrich. The drummer of Metallic took advantage of his time in England to play Saturday, 5, in Back to the beginningfestival of the farewells of Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourneand traveled the day before to Cardiff, 172 km away, to honor the Gallagher brothers.

Ulrich has already declared himself a fan of Oasis on different occasions. Not only that: the Danish -based Danish has developed a great friendship with guitarist and composer Noel Gallagher. The two have already been photographed together on different occasions, such as an event in 2009 and during the 2014 edition of the Glastonbury Festival in England.

They, by the way, have been comrades since the beginning of Oasis in the 1990s. The drummer watched a show from the group’s first American tour and even worked as a illuminator at that time.

Praise from Lars Ulrich to Noel Gallagher and Oasis

In an interview prior to Classic RockLars highlighted how Noel’s talent appreciates as a composer. The exalted ability here is to sound simple but effective.

“The hardest thing in the world – believe me, know that firsthand – is to compose a simple song. And the shorter and simpler, the harder it is.”

Then the Metallica musician quoted some Oasis songs that make his mind.

“These great Oasis songs – ‘Wonderwall’, ‘Live Forever’, ‘SuperSonic’ -If you hear Noel touch them alone, just guitar and voice, it’s amazing how these songs turn when you’re naked and vulnerable. ”

In another interview, to the journalist JOEL MCIVER published by the site Far Out Magazine (via Igor Miranda website), Lars Ulrich revealed another side of Noel Gallagher: the inspiration. In this case, it had nothing to do with music or art, but looking for good habits, as Oasis’s guitarist led the Metallica drummer to abandon cocaine consumption.

“I was very impressed with Noel Gallagher. As you know, I’m an Oasis fanatic. Noel said, ‘Do you know one thing? Enough cocaine!’. So I thought, ‘If he can, everyone can’.

The Oasis meeting

In addition to Wales, the Oasis meeting tour travels places as England, Ireland, Canada, United States,Mexico, Japan and others.

In November, the Gallagher brothers land in South America. Node Brazilthey will play twice in São Pauloon 22/11 and 11/23, in Morumbis.
