New feature of the DC hero franchise features one of the most praised musicians of the moment and that is part of a band of Math Rock
The new franchise movie Supermanlaunched in early July and directed by James Gunnhas been the target of praise not only for the script itself, but also for the soundtrack.
The composer and multi-instrumentalist John Murphy was responsible for the trail, next to David Fleming. He had already worked in films like Games, cheats and two steaming pipes (1998), Miami Vice (2006), Suicide squad (2021) and Guardians of the galaxy vol.3(2023).
Among the musicians recruited by Fleming to play on the Superman is a young and virtuous guitarist: Yvette Youngfrom Math Rock bandCove.

The 34 -year -old is also known as one of the most prominent young names of the instrument. Has academic background in music at University of Californiain Los Angeles (USA), and entered the list of 250 best guitarists in history made by Rolling Stone USAconquering 155th position.

In a post on Instagram (via Guitar world), Yvette confirmed her participation in the Superman Trail:
“When the wonderful David Fleming He approached me to help with the guitar on James Gunn’s new movie/soundtrack, I thought, of course?!?!
She posted some photos of the recordings and said:
“Thank you so much for trusting me your sound and musical expression. It was an amazing opportunity, with which I had a lot of fun exploring the sounds. Here are some moments I recorded when I remembered – truth be told, I was too immersed to remember most of the time!”

Dedication to soundtracks
In an interview with Guitar World, prior to the movie SupermanYvette Young had already advanced that she intended to devote himself more and more to soundtracks. She said she will take a break from the tiring tours, either with the Cove or in a solo career, and prioritize more movies and series:
“The reason I change to this kind of thing is not necessarily financial. I was in the tour model, tour, tour. I had a moment last year, or the previous year, when I thought, ‘What do I want from music? I’m having fun?'”
