ABEBE BIKILA continues the tour of diamonds, tears and faces to forget with a show in Sao Paulo last Saturday, 12
Experiencing a show like this is a chic perrengue or a sacred ritual, especially if the artist is the BK ‘that, with his almost 10 years of career, delivered (once again) a crowded show and with extra date at Espaço Unimed, in São Paulo.
This ritual/perrengue meant arriving at 7 pm in line to see a show that would start at 11 pm, see street vendors selling portable charger, polaroid style photos, alcoholic beverages, personalized (non-official) cups and everything to sell, revealing a strategic local commerce that delivers an annoying but curious pre-show experience.
The show house opens. The line walks. Anxiety increases. The place has a backdrop of DlreTour Available for photos and a DJ on the stage “warming the roll” with rappers from the national scene, as Duchess, Tasha & Tracie, Djonga and Luccas Carlos. Of course he also brought the songs “Without the worms to dry”, “Poets at the top”, “money, power, respect”tracks in which ABEBE BIKILA created and/or participated.
The opening show was in the responsibility of the rapper FyeArtist of the Giant Seal, who did his first solo show in the state capital. The most interesting thing is how versatile it was, always exchanging the pace of their songs a little. He also announced the production of a new album called Far from homeAnd during the songs, he asked the audience to swing his hand, turn on the flash, etc.

After 30 minutes late of the main show, BK ‘ He had not yet taken the stage, leaving his audience a little impatient (especially those who had arrived earlier). But as soon as the lights went out, the experience was from another universe.
Singing “You can go further”the artist, his dancers and Fye They delivered a heavy show start and that arrived to kill. Amending this, with “I owe you nothing” and “I achieved”the public jumped, sang and entered the vibe of the album Diamonds, tears and faces to forget. Visually, the big screen behind and the scenographs, use of lights, smoke and fire, enhance the experience and bring the artist’s present fans closer.
It was among its interludes that Dlre brought the best moment. Given the stage, the stage darkened and emptied completely, questionable decision if you analyze the time when the audience was “in the dark”, but suddenly sounds the environment… “ancestral” sounds and an artist starts to play a atabaque, but he wasn’t ABEBE BIKILA. This other man was illuminated by only a white light and, without saying a word, won that whole space.
The situation is enhanced when BK ‘ Enter the stage and start singing “Monster”an interlude that, in the live, marked a moment of introspection, family connection and vulnerability of the presentation. No wonder the following songs were “Fear of me” and “Continuation of a dream”. Tears were right. Anyone who was not thrilled, knew that this was not a common moment and, again, the rapper managed to bring all people closer through music.

In the setlist of the show, ABEBE He mixed songs from the new album with other hits of his career, giving people who didn’t know all the discography to breathe after screaming and crying. The participation of Febem in “This is my style”; Maui in “Real”; the members of theFat Family in “Da dawn”; and LUEDJI LUNA in “Below the clouds” – But without the part of Borges.
The participation of Luccas Carlos marked the loving block well. Singing the classic “Plans”followed by the hit “Love music never again”he is BK ‘ provided for the couples and singles of the place a mix of feelings. It was much harder at that moment to be the single person, but it was even better to see black and black loving. These same couples felt each song in a way and, even those who were not so close singing the others, were muled in this part of the show.
Another interlude. Starts playing “Only I know”. It is not the version of BK ‘. No one understands anything and… that’s how we entered the last moment of the second show of DRLE TOUR.
With a contemplative sensation, the original version of Djavan Plays, a blue light goes to the audience and he becomes a protagonist when appearing on the big screens. When the artist of the night comes back, Bk‘sings “Only I know”, “I died”, “Dawn”, “Universe” and finishes this great experience with “It’s no use crying” and bis of “Amen, Amen” to “bless your audience”.
